CityNews – At 9am on January 8, a medical team from Central Chiang Mai Memorial Hospital rushed to help a woman deliver a baby on the side of the Mahidol road after she unexpectedly went into labour.
After the medical team arrived, the delivery took around 10 minutes.
The new mother safely gave birth to a baby girl weighing around 6 and a half pounds.
The mother and daughter were then taken to hospital.
According to her husband, they both were working as caretakers for a longan field in Chiang Dao when she began to go into labour. He then began to drive her to the hospital but she couldn’t hold the birth any longer, so he stopped on the side of the road and asked people for help.
