CityNews – The Chiang Mai Municipality and the local Chinese residents are preparing for the 15th official Chinese New Year celebrations in Chiang Mai’s China Town from January 28 to 29.
Yesterday, January 23, a press conference was held at the Guan Yu Shrine where many organisations and event organisers met to discuss th celebrations and how they would be managed.
The event is expected to be toned down this year in remembrance of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Most events will be held during 6pm – 11pm with many activities for locals and tourists alike.
