CityNews – A man was found dead in the Chiang Mai moat today after witnesses saw a body floating in the water near Tha Pae Gate this morning.
The body of a man thought to be between 35 and 40 years of age and was wearing a black shirt, cream trousers and sneakers and was found to have his belongings still on him, including his mobile phone, keys, a pack of cigarettes but no ID.
Police are not yet ruling out foul play as they said that the unidentified man showed evidence of blunt force trauma to his head. He was dead for roughly 12 hours before being found.
Police are investigating his identity and the body has been sent for an autopsy.
