CityNews – On 6 April a strong storm hit Mae Soon Sub-district in Fang, leaving many homes and buildings damaged, and more thunderstorms expected soon.
The storm damaged many village homes and buildings, including a cattle shed that totally collapse.
The Director of the Northern Meteorological Centre Chiang Mai, Maytee Mahayosanata, warned that strong winds and thunderstorms are still to be expected throughout April.
During the summer, temperatures will reach up to 44 degrees Celsius, with hot winds across the province.
Maytee also added that if thunderstorms do happen, the water provided will not be enough to help with the drought crisis.
