CityNews – Phra Kru Bawornthammakitti, the abbot of Rong Fong temple Tambon Rong Fong, Amphoe Muang, Phrae announced that Rong Fong temple’s board will organise a Wai Phra that festival at the temple, a large annual event unique to the north of Thailand.
The events are as follows:
On the full moon, Thursday January 12th, 2017 at 6pm., the ceremony to appease spirits will be held. At 7pm, rice, money and dried food will be offered to the monks. At 9.30pm, a life prolonging ceremony will be held. After the ceremony, you all are invited to visit the alms house for lunch. Rong Fong temple would like to invite you all to come to the temple according to the date and time as shown or a special traditional ceremony.
