Hylife Developments, a leading Thai property developer headquartered in Chiang Mai, is thrilled to announce that their innovative “Hyfive Firebreak Fireline” initiative has been recognised at the prestigious “Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards” by Enterprise Asia.
Mr. Shubhodeep Das, Group CEO of Hylife Group, proudly accepted the award and delivered a speech at the ceremony held on the 28th of June 2024 at the Ho Chi Minh City Hilton in Vietnam.
The “Hyfive Firebreak Fireline” initiative secured Hylife Developments the award for its impactful contribution to environmental sustainability in Chiang Mai. Through collaborative efforts with local authorities, non-profit organisations, and academia, the project achieved a significant decrease in fire hotspots between the 1st of January and the 11th of March 2024. Provincial data shows a drop from 3,771 to 1,511 hotspots, impacting 10,670 fewer hectares. Considering the established metric of 11.7 metric tons of CO2 per hotspot, this translates to an estimated CO2 reduction of 17,678.7 metric tons.
