Community isolation centres have been set up at the Old Municipal Stadium and Sri Don Chai School specifically for migrant labourers who test Covid positive, announced the Covid Response Centre.
Mayor Assanee Buranupakorn told CityNews that 120 beds have been set up for migrant labourers at the municipality with the capacity to expand rapidly to 360. A further 120 beds, of which 80 are now occupied, have been prepared at the Sri Don Chai School.
Numerous hotels are also being used as Community Isolation locations to offer private options to the public. There are currently 1,000 hotel rooms available across the city.
