Baan Thammapakorn Chiang Mai, an old persons home, has been closed after 18 people have tested positive, said the Covid Response Centre today.
The patients will be quarantined together in a temporay field hospital which will be set up on the grounds of the home.
Officials ask for all deliveries of donated living necessities and food to stop from now until the 8th November.
The centre also said that Pratukom, Saam Yaek and Doi Saket Markets have produced new clusters, while the Muang Mai cluster has now added 42 positive people to its list which has grown to 1,439 and Pratu Chiang Mai Market cluster has now added 18 newly positive people to its 125 who have tested positive.
