CityNews – Another illegal teak wood processing plant was found in Mae Chaem by forest officers, but was empty so no arrests could be made.
On June 5th, forest officers from the Department of National Parks found a teak wood processing plant hidden by wood and sacks in the forest near Ban Sob Mae Lon, Moo 7 of Fong Kaek district in Mae Chaem.
Nobody was at the plant when officers discovered it so no arrests could be made.
Police are trying to track down the investor and buyers of the wood in order to prosecute them.
The investigation is ongoing.
