CityNews – September 24, a young man has been arrested after his girlfriend reported an attack to police that left her unconscious and hospitalised for two days.
21-year-old Ale Saelor from Chiang Dao was arrested yesterday for charges of assault.
The attack happened on September 18, when Ale found his girlfriend, 24-year-old Chontipa Sawangchotikul, with another man in her apartment. He became overwhelmed with jealousy and attacked Chontipa until she passed out.
Chontipa was rushed to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital where she was treated for two days.
Ale told police that he didn’t attack the man as he had done nothing wrong.
The couple had been dating for over three months, but had no history of violent attacks prior to this.
Chontipa told police that she was not alone with the man. When her boyfriend came into the apartment, another female friend was in the toilet.
She has asked police to prosecute Ale.
