Chiang Mai Province is thrilled to announce that its annual Chiang Mai Blooms flower festival has been honored with the prestigious International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA) Gold Award for Best Promotion Video. This recognition further solidifies Chiang Mai’s position as a global destination for cultural events and creative experiences.
The award-winning video showcases the beauty, diversity, and innovative spirit of the Chiang Mai Blooms Festival. It highlights the city’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant local scene, and the talented artists and designers who contribute to its success.
“We are incredibly proud of this achievement,” said La-aid Bungsritong, President of Visit Lanna Association for MICE and Tourism Industry, the organizer and host of Chiang Mai Blooms. “The IFEA Gold Award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our local communities, artists, and event organizers. It reinforces Chiang Mai’s reputation as a creative hub and a must-visit destination.”
Chiang Mai Province, the first city of ASEAN which has been awarded World Festival and Event City in 2022, has launched a series of initiatives to promote local creative industries and attract more visitors to the city throughout the year. These initiatives include:
• Showcasing Local Talent: Featuring local artists, designers, and businesses involved in the festival production.
• Creating Partnerships: Collaborating with local creative organizations to offer workshops, exhibitions, and events. The up and coming highlight is Chiang Mai Design Week hosted by Creative Economy Agency (CEA) in December.
• Hosting Follow-up Events: Organizing smaller, themed events throughout the year to maintain the momentum generated by the Chiang Mai Blooms and other homegrown festivals such as Yi-peng or Lanna Loy Kratong.
