CityNews – A car headed down the mountain from Doi Inthanon International Park lost control, falling off the side of the road, killing two and injuring four on November 1.
The passengers in the car were tourists from Narathiwat province. The driver, 50-year-old Chakrit Ngeonsa-nga and three other passengers, aged 45, 18, and 12, were injured in the accident and were sent to Chomthong Hospital.
Two women, aged 53 and 49, died at the scene.
According to the investigation, the accident was due to a break failure.
Two other accidents have been reported in the area in late October.
The head of Doi Inthanon National Park, Pornthep Charoensuebsakul, has warned tourists to the area to check their cars before visiting, especially braking systems as many roads are steep.
