A large rain tree in a lake is attracting summer visitors

Sri Lanna National Park is making the rounds on social media after a large rain tree became a sudden tourist attraction in recent months.

Take a 20 minute boat ride from Mae Pang Village in Phrao District deep into the Sri Lanna National Park (which covers the popular Mae Ngad Dam, for 700 baht boat (for three persons) or a long tail boat from Mae Ngad Dam for about double the price (or 3000 baht for eight persons) and in 40 minutes you will arrive at the photogenic destination.

A fun day out, best visited on weekdays to avoid the crowds, this new UNSEEN rain tree, as it is being heavily promoted, makes for a lovely half day trip out of the city.
