CityNews – An American tourist who got lost in the Doi Suthep – Pui National Park after arguing with her boyfriend was found after rescue teams were called to help find her.
In the evening of July 7, the tourist police were informed that 22-year-old Chantal Chahine had gone missing in the jungle after arguing with her boyfriend.
She visited the Montara Waterfall but then walked down a prohibited entry path that lead into the deep forest. She then called police for help but her phone battery died soon after the call was made so Police were unable to contact her again to try and locate her.
Rescue teams took roughly an hour to find Chahine, who is now safe back in the city.
