A 21 year old student, looking to find money to be able to complete his university degree, has been arrested and will likely see jail time after being caught in a gold shop, following an attempted burglary.
As can be seen in CCTV footage, the man had locked himself into a shopping centre over night with the aim of sneaking out of the second floor bathroom after the shops were closed. He then made his way to the gold shop on premises, breaking the door open, only to find that its manager had removed every piece of gold away and put it all in a safe.
After hours of searching for an exit, he gave up and was promptly arrested when the store was open the next day and he was caught red handed. He told police that he was a big fan of the movie Scream and thought it would be easy to rob the gold shop which was close to his home.
