CityNews – Burma was hit by a 7.0 Richter scale earthquake yesterday at 5.35pm yesterday which damaged several Bagan temples and was felt as far as Bangkok.
The quake struck at a depth of 84km roughly 25km away from the city of Chuak according to the US Geological Survey.
The quake caused a landslide which damaged over 66 pagodas and ancient temples, and has so far caused the death of three people, one man and two women.
The quake was felt by some in Chiang Mai and Lampang, and was even felt by people in high-rise buildings in Bangkok.
