The director of the Chiang Mai Zoo has announced this year’s Valentine’s Day celebrations as one to honour the love for hornbill birds.
There will be activities from today until the 16th at the Chiang Mai Zoo to honour “the hard work hornbills do in spreading seeds, their once in a lifetime love once they pick a life partner and raising awareness about the species.”
Children can come to learn all about five species of hornbills found at the zoo and all 13 found in Thailand. They can have fun at DIY workshops to make and draw hornbills and can play all sorts of games to receive prizes. Activities start from 10am.
