The Chiang Mai Zoo has announced that it will be putting on all manner of fabulous and fun activities this Loy Krathong, so if you are in the mood for festival animal fun, head over to the zoo.
There will be an ‘Ice Loy Krathong’ with temperatures dropping to -10C in their Buddy Winterland zone. You can also give hippos biodegradable krathongs and play with all sorts of cute animals from Shetland ponies to rabbits and parrots.The mini zoo will be open between 11am and 2pm between the 15th and 17th of November.
For only 99 baht you can give a krathong made from carrots, pumpkins, bananas and grass to cute pudgy hippos.
The first 30 visitors on the 15th will receive bread krathongs to feed to the fish and you can also see 20 penguins being fed special treats.
