Police have issued a warning to the public that there are hundreds of CCTV cameras across the city, and illegal activities, will be captured and perpetrators caught.

The latest public CCTV shaming has come as two men were captured at 4am on CCTV, not only stealing around 500 baht’s worth of vegetables from a Chang Klan restaurant, Stories, but also urinating in front of the popular venue.

The assistant chef of the restaurant arrived at work Saturday morning to find about 20kg of vegetables no longer in cold box where they were kept, to be used for yesterday’s dishes. Initially staff were suspected, but after watching the footage, it was clear that two very drunk men had ridden up on their motorbike at around 4am. After urinating in-front of the restaurant, they proceeded to stagger around until they found the vegetables, clumsily dropping and carrying them onto their bikes, before riding away. Police are unsure if they will be prosecuted, but ask the men to come forward and admit their wrong doing, before police eventually arrest them.
