It isn’t just Chinese tourists anymore who sport Thailand’s popular elephant pants, but this year’s high season has seen Thais also succumbing to the temptation of these super comfy popular trousers!
Chiang Mai’s very own Chinrada Garment Factory in Doi Saket has reportedly expanded to over 80 employees, busy sewing elephant pants not just for local sales, but to buyers as far afield as Japan, America and Europe. In fact, this August, when Citylife went to visit Edinburgh Festival with Chiang Mai’s mayor and governor, our gift to people we visited were elephant pants!
