CityNews – Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited Chiang Mai to give special gifts to people who donated blood over the last two years.
On May 2, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited the Baan Lan Tong Convention Hall, Lotus Hotel Pang Suang Kaew, and gave gifts to people who had donated to blood to the Red Cross in years 2015 and 2016.
21 monks also attended the event where almost 1000 people were given gifts and certificates for their generous blood donations over the last two years.
813 people received special gifts for donating blood between 26 and 108 times from 2015 to 2016.
22 people were given gifts for donating blood 100 times and 51 other people were given certificates for their blood donations over the same time period.
The current blood donation goal is over 2 million units per year, but current blood donations lay around 8 – 10% under that goal each year.
