For over 40 years the Chinese community of Chiang Mai have held an annual Chinese New Year event at Warorot’s Lao Jo Alley.
This year’s event is promising to be spectacular, with today’s parade moving with great fanfare and festivity from the Governor’s Residence to Warorot’s also Jo.
Festivities will continue daily until 10pm each night until the 30th January, ushering in the year of the snake. There will be music and shows, a Miss Chinese Thai 2025 pageant a Mister China Town 2025 pageant and lots of stalls and shops selling food and souvenirs.
