CityNews – Japanese style landmark, Hinoki Land has been selected as a cultural site.
Chiang Mai Provincial Office of Culture posted an announcement on Facebook this week revealing 10 must visit cultural sites by Department of Culture Promotion. The document was signed on April 2nd by the director-general Chai Nakornchai. For Chiang Mai, the promoted “cultural site” is Hinoki Land, a Japanese style destination in Chai Prakarn that opened last year.
Hinoki Land is located in an 83 rai land imitating Japanese shrine, the building is established from scented woods and staffs are wearing kimono and yukata.
The selection has fumed social media with skepticism. The post has been deleted from Facebook but there has been no official statement regarding the topic yet.

2. Hinoki Land, Chiang Mai
3. Jim Thompson Farm, Nakhon Ratchasima
4. The Sanctuary of Truth, Chon Buri
5. Nongnooch Garden Pattaya
6. Thai Buffalo Conservation Village, Suphan Buri
7. Woodland Muangmai, Nakhon Pathom
8. Samut Prakarn Ancient City, Samut Prakarn
9. Siam Niramit, Bangkok
10. Phuket Fantasy, Phuket
