CityNews – It’s still freezing on Doi Inthanon.
The temperature on the top of Doi Inthanon dropped to a chilling four degrees Celsius this morning, January 30th. Because of this unusually long winter, tourists are still flocking to the tallest mountain in Thailand and it was reported that on January 29th a total of 2,370 people (1,670 Thais and 700 foreigners) had visited the mountain. About 600 vehicles were reportedly to have ascended the mountain on that day.
The Northern Meteorological Center also revealed that Chiang Mai will face a turbulent change of temperature in the next couple of days with the lowest temperature in the morning dropping to a possible 14 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature in the late afternoon rising to 33 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the temperatures on the mountain will remain at approximately four to 11 degrees Celsius.
