Man seeking replacement for lost hat he bought from Chiang Mai 22 years ago!

I know this may sound unusual, but I lost a hat I purchased 22 years ago between Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son from a roadside vendor. This hat has been my faithful companion on every backpacking trip I’ve taken since then, and I’ve hiked nearly 10,000 miles with it. Unfortunately, I lost it last year on the Pacific Crest Trail in Southern Washington State.

This hat has become one of my signature pieces of clothing—people who’ve met me on the trail can recognize me from a distance because of it. I’m 75 years old now, and I don’t know how many more trips I’ll be able to complete. I’ve searched online but haven’t found anything that even comes close to it.

Attached is a photo of the hat. I’m hoping you can help me find a new one that’s similar or close in style. I have to admit, losing this hat left me feeling distraught for days. It had become a part of my identity.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
