CityNews – February 10th, the army in Lamphun arrested nine illegal Burmese workers who were found hiding in a vegetable pickup truck.
The Lamphun Peace and Order Maintaining Command and Li Police found eight men and one women hiding in a pick up truck when they were stopped at a check point in Li Sub-District, Lamphun. The driver, 23-year old Ampa Pimonwanthana from Mae Sod Sub-District, Tak Province said that she was driving from Tak to take them to Lamang and was being paid 3,000 baht per person.
The police have arrested them for prosecution.
