Rescue staff were busy over the weekend when they were alerted to a deer which had got stuck in a fence in a village in Chang Phueak.
It took rescue service staff an hour to finally release the deer, which they suspect came down from Doi Suthep-Pui National Park and got confused and lost.
The Director of the Chiang Mai Zoo said that the deer is well and recuperating at the zoo, insisting that the deer was not chipped and therefore not an escapee of the zoo.
