CityNews – An investigation has been launched into claims that a passenger unintentionally boarded a flight at Chiang Mai International Airport with a fake gun in his bag.
The man posted a photo of the gun in his hand on social media sites, according to reports, with the message: “When Airports of Thailand allows me to carry a gun on board a plane.”
He said his luggage had been scanned as usual, and he noticed the BB gun while looking for his mobile phone on arrival in Bangkok.
The gun belonged to an air force officer he had met while staying in Chiang Mai, but he said he had no idea how it got in his bag, the Bangkok Post reported.
