The annual Red Cross Winter Fair in Chiang Mai is this year more popular than ever as massive prizes are being offered up to anyone who purchases a lottery ticket – with all proceeds going towards the Red Cross Chiang Mai.
This year’s lottery sales booth was overrun by long queues of the public looking to purchase a chance to wine one 2.6 million baht fully furnished house, a 1.8 million baht fully furnished town house, one Toyota pickup, an iPhone and all sorts of other fantastic prizes. There are around 1,000 tickets on sale each day at the fair, which runs until the 17th of this month. Most of the 200,000 tickets have already been sold in the last two weeks of 2023.
