On March 22nd, Unity Concord International School (UCIS) hosted its first fully licensed TEDxUCIS Youth event (The ‘x’ in ‘TEDx’ stands for “independently organized events), bringing together students and educators from across the Ambassador Education Group, as well as distinguished guests from IGC School in Vietnam and CIA FIRST International School in Cambodia. Making it the first international school to host a Tedx event in Chiang Mai. The event, held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, provided a dynamic platform for young voices to share ideas and spark meaningful discussions under the theme “Gateway.”
The inspiring lineup of speakers explored a diverse range of topics, including artificial intelligence (AI), the challenges faced by cross-cultural kids, embracing risk for personal growth, the power of resilience and adaptability, and pushing oneself beyond comfort zones. Each talk resonated with the audience, encouraging reflection on the ways in which individuals can navigate change and step into new opportunities.
Beyond the thought-provoking speeches, TEDxUCIS Youth also featured interactive art displays, engaging activities, and valuable networking opportunities, fostering an atmosphere of creativity and collaboration. Attendees had the chance to connect, exchange ideas, and reflect on how they, too, could pass through their own gateways to personal and academic growth.
