Police have arrested two Colombian men, both 20 years old, after they broke into some houses, stealing over one million baht of watches and money from one particular house owned by a Chinese expatriate.

A third man is being sought as an accomplice.

The three men arrived in Bangkok in October and bought a second hand car before driving up to Chiang Rai and eventually Chiang Mai where they rented a house in a moo Baan. They then stole two bicycles.

One man—the one who has yet to be arrested— would scout a location in his car, checking to see if houses were locked or occupied in various moo baans, then would inform the two cyclists to go in and steal. They also raided a marijuana shop in Mae Hia, stealing over 20,000 baht worth of goods. The three men had returned tickets to their home country for the 28th of November, police speculating that they came ere specifically to rob.
