To date, 75,000 visitors have visited Doi Inthanon in the past two months, with numbers increasing exponentially daily. Authorities say that they now expect numbers to go up as high as 10,000 visitors per day on holidays and weekends.
With temperatures plummeting to 10C, authorities say that they have no assigned 300 personnel to duty, ensuring visitors have the best experience they can possibly have when visiting the National Park. According to park authorities, between October 2002-October 2003 there were 1.2 visitors to the park, contributing over 100 million baht to the park coffers.
