CityNews – A group of local Chiang Mai residents discovered a dead human foetus in the Ping River while fishing near the Chiang Mai Regional Police Traffic Centre on January 10.
After the foetus was retrieved it was taken to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for an autopsy.
According to doctors, it was a male foetus aged around 7 months in the womb. It was believed to have been aborted around two days from when it was found.
Police believe it was another case of teenage pregnancy. They are currently tracing the mother for prosecution.
