On December 14, the Chiang Mai Municipality responded to the footage by holidng a meeting with the market’s entrepreneurs and other organisations including the Chiang Mai Provincial Livestock Office and the Chiang Mai Provincial Public Health Office, to set up a long-term plan to improve cleanliness in the market and other markets around the city.
The plan included local organisation, examining permits of all vendors and general cleaning programs to be implemented.
The project is already underway, in a bid to win back customers and prove they are dedicated to keeping the marketplace clean.
