CityNews – Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital has joined with World No Tobacco Day on May 31, to promote the disadvantages of smoking and encouraging people to quit.
The campaign event was held in the Rajanagarinda Building, Faculty of Medicine Building (part of Chiang Mai University), and highlighted that over the last year there has been an increase in smoking related illnesses such as liver cancer, colon cancer, diabetes and tuberculosis.
They also opened a ‘Stop Smoking Clinic’ for people who were looking for help quitting smoking. They also provided free heath assessments such as nicotine addiction, checking carbon monoxide levels and more.
