1,000 Hmong Villagers Pay Tribute to the Late King

CityNews – Over 1,000 Hmong people from the Doi Pui Village and Khun Chang Kian Village joined together to pay tribute and mourn His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Aduyladej.

On December 21 at the Pha Dam National Park Protection Unit 1 played host to the 1,000 Hmong villagers along with representatives from the local municipality and Governor Prawin Chamniprasart.

The Hmong wrote messages to the late King on leaves before walking three kilometres in tribute to the King and all his work in promoting sustainable crop options in place of Opium.

In the evening, there was a candle light vigil and people sung songs about the King and shared stories in remembrance of him.
