Another Temple Fire

CityNews – A fire at Wat Chaiya Sathan in Chiang Mai caused great damage to the residences of monks, including the abbot, with an estimated damage at around 10 million baht.

Around 4am on May 25th, the police were informed that monks’ residences at Wat Chaiya Sathan, Pa Bong Sub-District in Chiang Mai were burnt by fire. Officers spent two hours to douse the fire with ten fire trucks.

The abbot of the temple, 90-year-old Kruba Income, was unharmed and carried out by other monks.

The cause of fire will find out by the civil department to check the structure of the cubicle.
