CityNews – A 50 year-old Bodhi Tree fell onto several parked cars on April 23 after a strong wind storm swept across the city.
The 50 year-old Bodhi tree found outside of the College of Arts, Media and Technology, in Chiang Mai University, broke apart when strong winds came acorss Chiang Mai.
According to officials, the tree was hollow inside due to termites, so easily broke in the wind.
Four cars were damaged by the trees. Two cars were covered by insurance but two other cars were uninsured. However, Chiang Mai University has offered to pay for the damages not covered by insurance. It was estimated at around 300,000 baht in damages.
