The Save Elephant Foundation in Mae Taeng has opened a new ‘attraction’ for visitors who love cats. Over 300 stray and abandoned cats, ostensibly saved by the foundation appears to be the newest attraction at the Elephant Nature Park. The foundation claims to be caring for 800 cats, though only 300 are in the visitors’ zone. It is unclear where the rest are cared for and how they are cared for.

There is a massive PR drive right now with media from across the country being invited to promote the Cat Kingdom as the latest destination. All cats have been sterialised, says representatives of the foundation.
