CityNews – 30th March 2020, the Meteorological Department has issued a weather update warning us in the north to expect the possibility of some rain and hail in the coming days.
“Hot condition still rules in overall upper Thailand while very hot condition is forecast for many parts in the North, the Northeast and the Central regions” a post on the web site of the department said. “From 1st-4th April, outbreaks of thunderstorms will be likely in the upper country, first in the Northeast then the rest, accompanying with thundershowers, lightning strikes and gusty winds. Hails is possible for some portion of the North, the Northeast and the East. People stay safe by keeping off big trees, outdoor places and unsecured buildings. Farmers should prevent for crop damage.”
There was also a warning about the pollution, “Dust situation: The stronger southerly and southwesterly winds across Bangkok and its vicinity bring about less accumulation of dust/smog. In the upper North, more accumulation is forecast in the morning due to bad ascending of air-parcel.”
