CityNews – 199 monks gathered at the Royal Pavilion, Royal Park Rajapruek and there was also a ceremony in the evening at 700th Anneversary Chiang Mai Stadium that was joined by Chiang Mai Governor, Chiang Mai Deputy Governor, Consulates and representatives from 20 government departments. Candles were lit, the Thai Royal Anthem sung, Lanna local royal tribute parade by Fine Arts Faculty of Chiang Mai University and candle dance by 1,999 volunteers.
