Business tycoon Tan Passakornnatee, owner of One Nimman, Think Park and many other developments in Chiang Mai and across Thailand, has announced that he is renting space for FREE for one year for vendors needing help during the pandemic.
There is a total area of 5,000 square meters available. Following the sudden closure of Promenada Mall last week, resulting a reported 200 vendors losing their spaces and businesses, Tan has announced, today, that he will offer rent free space to vendors for up to one year.
“We are nearly out of this, it has been three years of hardship for so many businesses but we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I wish I could help more,” Tan told CityNews. “If I could buy land or an entire mall, I would, but I don’t have the means. So this is the way I can help. If we encourage our Thai brothers and sisters to support one another, visit each other’s businesses, we can get through this together.”
Tan said that he is offering space in five projects: One Nimman, U Nimman Hotel, Think Park, Travel Lodge Nimman and Punna on soi 6 Nimman. Vendors will need to pay for electricity and water only.
This offer is available from 13th-16th May only at One Nimman Emergency Shopping Centre. He will also open up free spaces for students to work and hold tutorials.
