CityNews – The green space that was recently given to the people by the Finance Department will be soon put to use according to Chiang Mai Governor Prawin Chamniprasart after a meeting on October 1st to discuss what the land should best be used for.
The 2nd green City Council Meeting was held to discuss the results of a survey held in the first meeting that invited people from the local area and from related departments and private sectors in order to present their opinions and suggestions to the council.
The meeting concluded that the space should be used as a public park and a nature study area.
Ampaporn Junkajang, Director of Regina Coeli College, added that the development will have a small impact on the area, with no trees being cut town and only clearing of the floor and the planting of other trees will occur. The planted trees and existing trees will be used for studies and a herb garden will be grown by the local students.
The third meeting will be held to discuss who will participate in the plan and how it will be organised.
