CityNews – The 2nd Asia – Pacific Water Summit will take place from 14th – 20th May. From 14th – 17th May, there will be an exhibition with representatives and youths attending, and then from 18th – 20th May, representatives and leaders from many countries will meet. During these dates traffic will be gridlocked on the Irrigation Canal Road. The police will have signs showing you where to go, but it is best to avoid this area if you can. If you live in the area try and use back streets.
The traffic police and the highway police will take the representatives to the convention centre and take them back to their hotels around Chiang Mai city. Many routes may temporarily be blocked due to this such as the Juvenile Court Intersection, Second Ring Road, Mahidol Road, Irrigation Canal Road. The traffic will be most congested 20th May when PM Yingluck Shinawatra will speak.
