CityNews – The cabinet approved the Mae Rim bypass project with a 5.3 billion baht budget for its first phase.
This is a project under the Department of Rural Roads. The main bypass will start on the rural road 3029 in San Phi Suea near the city hall and will head up north. It will intersect with the highway 121 and highway 1260 in Mae Rim, before merging with highway 1414 in Mae Taeng.
The bypass will connect with San Pong, Khilek, San Phi Suea and Muan Kaew in Mae Rim District, and Nong Harn and Mae Faek Mai in San Sai District. The project includes four, six and ten lanes along with overpasses and underpasses with a budget for the first phase set at 5.3 billion baht. The plan is to proceed on expropriated land next year and start the construction in 2021. The project is planned to be completed by 2022.
