CityNews – Fifteen years ago, the village committee of Ban Nong Krok, in Phrao District, wrote to the Sansai Sub-District Administrative Organisation to request a budget to extend a pipeline from the nearby hot springs into their village. As a result, hot water was piped just over a kilometer to feed into 147 family homes, giving the villagers a wonderful year-round hot water supply at around 60 degrees.
Each household contributes 50 baht per month to receive both hot and cold water into their homes.
In the winter, the elderly from nearby villages come to this village to bathe, saying that it has provided great health benefits to them.
