The cool weather is attracting tourists as well as the much-needed tourism baht, said a Doi Suthep park official who went on to warn that cold weather comes with its own set of challenges and danger.
He asks the public to be careful when navigating mountain roads, especially by Thai tourists from provinces which may not have mountains, so their experience driving them may not be much. He says that there are two slippery curves up Doi Suthep which he is very concerned about, as there have been some near-accidents reported. So he urges caution.
