CityNews – The Waterworks Authority and the Military Circle 33 joined in the Saving Water Parade this morning, starting at Three Kings Monument.
During the parade, pamphlets about how to save water were distributed. The parade split off in four directions to help spread the message across the city. The four routes left Three Kings Monument towards Nawarat Bridge, Khuang Singh intersection, Ton Payom market and Central Airport Plaza.
74 other provinces also hosted parades.
Somchai said that the Provincial Waterworks Authority has 234 branches and 358 service spots around Thailand. They aim to help people realise the value of water and save water to use in the future.
Lakchai said that during Songkran, there will be only 10 water points provided by the Waterworks Authority in Chiang Mai instead of 20 the year before.
