Lighting Up the Night The Beginning of the Festive Season at Anantara Chiang Mai Anantara Chiang Mai Resort comes alive with the twinkling lights and magic of Christmas. To kick off the festivities, a lighting ceremony was held on 30 November 2022, with Lanna royal, diplomats and distinguished businesspeople in attendance.
The evening’s celebrations were presided over by Chao Pakinai Na Chiang Mai, who officially turned on the Christmas lights. Guests enjoyed canapes, cocktails and live jazz, followed by a delightful performance of Christmas carols by the choir of Dara Academy.
There are three different sets of lights to admire throughout the boutique resort. The façade has been draped in a curtain of shooting stars. A traditional Christmas tree can be admired in the lobby atrium. And the 200-year-old payom tree on the courtyard lawn lights up the night.
“The festive season is always magical at Anantara Chiang Mai Resort”, says Pitak Norathepkitti, General Manager. “We are glad that so many of the city’s illustrious residents could join us for this event, and look forward to hosting visitors from far and wide for our many celebrations throughout the season”.
On display until 8 January 2023, guests and locals alike are welcome to visit and take photos with the lights. They can also join in the Christmas and New Year festivities.
