Opening of Chinese New Year 2025

The Mayor of Chiang Mai, Assanee Buranupakorn presided over the Opening of Chinese New Year in Warorot Market / Chiang Mai Chinatown. This was preceded by a parade from Thapae Gate led by the Governor of Chiang Mai, Nirat Pongsitthavorn.
Over two days (29 & 30 January 2025) there will be many activities in Warorot Market associated with Chinese & Thai cultures including Mister & Miss China Town competitions, lion and golden dragon dances, spectacular light and sound shows, Chinese cooking contest and much more besides.
